Missouri’s National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) Results

Every two years, a sample of students across the U.S. participate in the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP). Missouri’s students are currently participating in the 2019 edition of the NAEP exam, with results scheduled for release in 2020. The most recent results available are from 2017 and show mostly flat achievement. In this policy brief, we take a deeper look into what the NAEP is, Missouri’s results going back to 2003, and how our scores relate to National trends and our neighboring states.
